Cookie Policy

Last updated: 6 July 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They help the site remember information about your visit, such as your login session, so you don't have to re-enter it each time you return.

2. How FocusEdu Uses Cookies

FocusEdu uses a minimal set of cookies, strictly limited to the following purposes:

  • Authentication cookies: A session token is stored in a secure, HTTP-only cookie to keep you logged in across page visits. This cookie is essential — the platform cannot function without it.
  • Security cookies: Short-lived tokens to prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks. These are deleted when your browser session ends.
  • Preference cookies: We may store lightweight preferences (such as UI state) in browser local storage. This data never leaves your device.
  • Analytics and attribution storage: when enabled by configuration and user consent where required, we may store a privacy-scoped analytics consent record and non-sensitive campaign attribution values such as UTM source, medium, and campaign so we can understand which pages and channels lead to registrations, subscriptions, and completed learning flows.

3. What We Restrict

  • We do not share cookie or analytics data with ad networks or data brokers.
  • We do not use children's learning data for advertising profiling.
  • We do not send child names, parent email addresses, phone numbers, answer text, report body text, or payment details into analytics tools.
  • We do not enable session replay on student learning pages, report detail pages, parent child profile pages, checkout/payment pages, admin pages, or any page displaying child learning data.

4. Third-Party Services

FocusEdu may use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic and performance metrics, Google Analytics 4 for campaign attribution and conversion measurement, PostHog for product event funnels and cohorts, and Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps or session replay on approved non-sensitive public pages only.

These tools are configured so that analytics must be fail-safe, session replay remains off by default unless allowed, and sensitive product surfaces stay excluded from replay.

Stripe, our payment processor, may set its own cookies when you visit the billing or subscription pages. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Cookie Policy. FocusEdu does not control or have access to Stripe's cookies.

Cloudflare, our infrastructure provider, may set technical cookies related to DDoS protection and load balancing. These are strictly necessary for service delivery and do not identify individual users.

5. Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling the authentication cookie will log you out and prevent access to the platform until you log back in.
