1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) sets out the rules governing your use of FocusEdu.com.au (the Platform), operated by FocusEdu Pty Ltd. It applies to all users including parents, guardians, students, and any other person accessing the Platform.
This AUP is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Breach of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.
2. Permitted Use
You may use the Platform only to:
- Prepare your child for NSW Opportunity Class (OC) or Selective High School placement tests.
- Access diagnostic reports, adaptive practice sessions, and parent dashboards for your own linked student.
- Manage your subscription, billing, and account settings.
3. Prohibited Conduct
You must not use the Platform to:
- Share or resell access: Share your login credentials with anyone other than the student you manage. Reselling or sublicensing access to the Platform for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited without our prior written consent.
- Copy or distribute content: Reproduce, redistribute, publish, scrape, or create derivative works from any FocusEdu questions, explanations, reports, algorithms, or software, in whole or in part.
- Circumvent security controls: Attempt to bypass authentication, access another user's account or data, or probe, scan, or test the Platform for vulnerabilities without our explicit written consent.
- Automate access: Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or any automated tools to access, extract, or interact with Platform content without our express written permission.
- Disrupt the Platform: Transmit malware, conduct denial-of-service attacks, or otherwise interfere with the availability or integrity of the Platform.
- Provide false information: Create an account using false identity information, or misrepresent your relationship to a child enrolled on the Platform.
- Violate laws: Use the Platform in any way that breaches applicable Australian law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), or theCopyright Act 1968 (Cth).
- Harm children: Use the Platform in any way that harms, endangers, or exploits children, or that violates any child safety law.
4. Content Standards
If the Platform includes any feature that allows you to submit information (e.g., support requests or contact forms), you must not submit content that:
- Is defamatory, abusive, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory.
- Infringes any intellectual property, privacy, or other legal right of a third party.
- Is false, misleading, or deceptive.
- Contains spam, unsolicited commercial communications, or phishing attempts.
5. Enforcement
FocusEdu reserves the right to investigate suspected breaches of this AUP. We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:
- Suspend or terminate your account.
- Remove content that breaches this AUP.
- Report suspected illegal activity to law enforcement authorities.
We are not obligated to monitor all activity on the Platform, but we may do so to ensure compliance with this AUP and applicable law.
6. Reporting a Violation
If you believe someone is using the Platform in breach of this AUP, please contact us at support@focusedu.com.au. Include as much detail as possible.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via a notice on the Platform. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
